Best known for originating the role of Simba in the 1997 Broadway blockbuster The Lion King, actor/singer Jason Raize also hosted the television series Keeping it Wild with Jason Raize, recorded a solo album, headlined a Disney Channel concert special, and served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme. Sadly, Jason ended his life in February 2004 at age 28.

This site has been online since 1998, and I hope that it will remain a resource for fans of Jason who wish to find out more about this talented performer's life and career.

May 2020 Update

Socially-distanced performance of "He Lives in You" dedicated to Jason: Released on May 16, 2020, this video features members of the original Broadway cast of The Lion King dancing to Jason's beautiful voice, with remarks from Julie Taymor, Garth Fagan, and Heather Headley. How beautiful to see that this video is presented "In Loving Memory of Jason Raize."
