Jason Raize
Actor/singer Jason Raize is best known for originating the role of Simba in the 1997 Broadway blockbuster The Lion King,
His credits also include hosting the television series Keeping it Wild with Jason Raize, recording a solo album, and headlining a Disney Channel concert special.
Jason also served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme.
Sadly, Jason ended his life in February 2004 at age 28.

Jason Remembered in 2020
On May 16, 2020, members of the original Broadway cast and creative team of The Lion King reunited for a socially-distanced performance of “He Lives in You.”
The video features members of the original company dancing to Jason’s beautiful voice from the original cast recording.
Director Julie Taymor, choreographer Garth Fagan, and original “Nala” Heather Headley also speak about the show.
